We Remain Open to Serve You!
Saturday, July 2nd, was a typical summer day at Harborwalk Resort. We were busy preparing for an evening celebration with our members. It was a time of smiles and anticipation.
Around noon, a fire started at the restaurant. Emergency services were called out from six different fire departments. Water was pumped in from the bay to battle the flames. It took about four hours to extinguish the fire. We appreciate the first responders who worked so hard in the heat of the day to save the facility from more extensive damage.
It is a blessing that no one was injured. We do not yet know the cause of the fire. The restaurant did not have fire coverage and was not yet open for business as renovations were almost complete. So we start again.
Our pools, boat ramps, marina boat slips, and ship store are all operational and open to serve you.
That evening, we went forward with a previously scheduled July 4th celebration for our members and community. It included live music, bar service and great fun. Thank you to our many friends who joined and supported us.
